The Porsche Museum is not only a brand ambassador and representative to the public, but above all it’s home to some of the world’s most valuable automotive treasures.
One of them: the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton from 1898!
Ferdinand Porsche – fascinated by electricity since childhood – designed its drivetrain. But it wasn’t just any drivetrain: it is electric!
Today, more than 120 years later, e-mobility is as present as ever and it is a fundamental part of the company’s strategy.
But how to connect the past and the future while making the revolutionary technology of the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton tangible and comprehensible to visitors of the Porsche museum?
People have always been fascinated by things that seem unreachable: Traveling to other dimensions – traveling to other planets – traveling to another time.
We welcome visitors to the museum with a symbol that stands for journeys of a special kind:
taking visitors on a ride through space and time
The focus of the multimedia installation is the Egger Lohner C.2 Phaeton, seemingly coming through the portal from the past.
We create this mind-bending illusion using an infinity effect through the composition of LED technology, specially manufactured mirrors and the three-dimensional content.
The result is a magical, infinite depth captivating visitors and inviting them to explore the content and the spherical soundtrack from every angle.
With holographic storytelling we span more than 120 years of Porsche´s history, making the visit of the museum a unique and fascinating experience.
